Basbaas Original Somalian Sauce is made from a Somalian family recipe and is bursting with the freshness of coriander, sweetness of onion and the citrus tang of lime.
This hot sauce is alive with the fresh distinctive aroma and flavour of coriander, that is brought even more to life with a hit of lime and rounded out with sweet onion and garlic. Basbaas is the Somali word for chilli and the Birdseye chillies used in this sauce give it a nice consistent heat without being too overpowering.
Is perfect with white meats, especially pan-fried fish, also makes for a unique and interesting dipping sauce for sushi and sashimi and fresh oysters. But is equally at home on grilled lamb or in your beef burger.
