Melbourne Hot Sauce Bhut Jolokia 150ml
Melbourne Hot Sauce Bhut Jolokia is a celebration of the Bhut jolokia with that distinctive ghost chilli earthiness balanced with a great spicy, citrus flavour.
With 40% of the sauce made up of ghost chillies you definitely get a very dominate capsicum smell and flavour but Richard at Melbourne Hot Sauce has taken this one step further with the standout added flavour of orange, lemon and lime to give it some real fruitiness and depth. You may not agree with me on the heat rating when you first taste this hot sauce, but like most ghost chilli hot sauces, it has a very slow build and gets you right at the back of the throat leaving you with a very warm feeling.
This makes a great addition to curries or on a one of those chicken burgers with the super-crunchy deep-fried chicken breast patties.
