SSB Chilli Mango Turmeric Small Batch Hot Sauce is a unique combination of fruity mango, earthy turmeric and spicy peppercorns with the heat of Trinidad Scorpions and Carolina Reapers
The main component of this hot sauce is mango so you would probably expect this to be a predominantly sweet sauce, but Nick has created something far from this. The addition of onion and carrot combined with the earthiness of homegrown turmeric help to balance this sauce and give it a very savoury flavour and finish. The heat is provided by homegrown Trinidad Scorpions & Carolina Reapers and are not obvious straight away but provide a nice little kick at the very end. There is also the added spiciness and heat of black peppercorns, which I especially like, as that spiciness lingers even after the chilli heat is gone.
This is great for grilled chicken, pork and fish or use it as a side dish for your next Indian curry, especially as a dipping sauce for your pappadums.
