Spicy Sweet Bacon made with Hot Sauce

If you love bacon then you are going to love this Spicy Sweet Bacon recipe with just 2 simple ingredients you can transform an already delicious piece of bacon into something truly irresistible. For the hot sauce in this recipe we recommend either a thicker salsa style sauce like the Marysol Hot Sauce featured in the Autumn 2018 ChilliBOM Red Box.

Sweet Spicy Bacon

 Ingredients

  • 200g bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a tray with foil and put a wire rack on top.
  2. Combine hot sauce and brown sugar in a bowl. Coat bacon with sauce mixture and place bacon onto wire rack.
  3. Bake for at least 15 minutes, leave it a little longer for a crispier finish or for thicker cut bacon.
