Sabarac Fermented Moroccan Fatalii Pear Hot Sauce is a fragrant rich hot sauce with a chunky texture, earthly flavour and a sharp peppery finish.
This hot sauce is rich in the earthy fragrant spices of coriander, cumin and sumac which are used extensively in Moroccan cuisine, this is expertly paired with the fatalii chilli which, originated in central Africa, and has its own distinctive fruity flavour. The flavour from the pear is there but it is subtle, but it does give the sauce it’s thick, velvety consistency and helps to carry the chunky pieces of capsicum and chilli. You can first feel the heat from the fatalii at the front of your mouth and reminds me more of a black pepper heat rather than a chilli heat. This heat then disappears and then somehow magically reappears at the back of the throat.
This sauce is perfect with baked chicken and also goes well with slow-cooked lamb or pork.
