Marysol Hot Sauce a great all-rounder habanero hot sauce with a bit of a twist delivered by the addition of earthy spices like cumin.
Will and James from Marysol have used the red habanero exceptionally well, it gives the sauce both a deep red colour and, as it is not blended too fine, there is also a nice thick consistency to the sauce with plenty of chilli pieces left to bite down on. There is a beautiful balance between vinegar and chilli that helps give the sauce a robust flavour and the earthy spices takes it beyond your normal vinegar-based sauce. The up-front heat is a medium-level which does disappear reasonably quickly, but the reason why habanero is used in so many hot sauces becomes clear, as the heat builds back up the more of the sauce that you eat.
Especially tasty with a juicy beef burger and also makes a great addition to your Sunday morning omelette.
