SSB Chilli Black Mamba Small Batch Hot Sauce is inspired by the lethal Black Mamba snake, whose bite spreads slowly building to a deadly finish
This sauce is a sauce of many layers you get an aroma of earthy, smoky and chocolatey from the chillies and molasses, and fruitiness from the grilled citrus. You experience the next layer when you taste the sauce; the sweetness disappears quickly to be replaced by the spicy and earthy flavour of the foursome of chillies: Carolina Reaper, ghost chilli, chocolate scorpion and ancho. The next layer is the heat, which is not obvious at first but slowly builds as each chilli takes it turn providing a burn that lingers for a couple of minutes.
The sweet, earthy combination makes it perfect for your next cheesy jaffle or drizzled over some grilled haloumi that has been fried in butter and garlic.
