Spicy Sweet Bacon made with Hot Sauce

Spicy Sweet Bacon made with Hot Sauce

If you love bacon then you are going to love this Spicy Sweet Bacon recipe with just 2 simple ingredients you can transform an already delicious piece of bacon into something truly irresistible. For the hot sauce in this recipe we recommend either a thicker salsa style sauce like the Marysol Hot Sauce featured in the Autumn 2018 ChilliBOM Red Box.

Sweet Spicy Bacon

  • 200g bacon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a tray with foil and put a wire rack on top.
  2. Combine hot sauce and brown sugar in a bowl. Coat bacon with sauce mixture and place bacon onto wire rack.
  3. Bake for at least 15 minutes, leave it a little longer for a crispier finish or for thicker cut bacon.
