Made by Matt and Jack and named after their Mum, Mary Lou, this sauce is a flavour packed tomato based hot sauce. You are hit with that distinctive tomato and oregano aroma as soon as you crack open the wax sealed lid. The fresh, zingy tomato flavour is delivered by the combination of both roasted tomato and tomato juice and is enhanced with the sweetness of onion and carrot. There is a subtle hit of mustard and roasted garlic before the habanero shines through, its fruitiness adding to the overall flavour and heat level giving this hot sauce a nice warm burn at the back of the throat and into your chest.
Being a tomato based sauce this makes it a great all-rounder hot sauce perfect for steak sandwiches and beef burgers but equally as delicious on barbecue chicken or fish. But you should try this on some steamed potatoes topped with the sauce, sour cream, butter and cheese...delicious!
