We love supporting our local sauce makers and this one is extra local for us being just up the coast...a few beaches away! Sean and Justin are two mates who really are from Burleigh Heads (that was the first question I asked) and they spend their days dreaming of hot sauces inspired by the flavours, community and beach where they grew up. When you crack open the bottle the jalapeño and kiwi provide a very distinctive aroma. A thicker style of hot sauce that starts with a sharp hit of vinegar infused with the earthiness and capsicum flavour of jalapeño and the freshness of coriander as well as the distinctive flavour of spring onion all rounded out by a pleasant fruity kiwi fruit finish. As expected the heat from the jalapeño is moderate, that usually means that you are free to add more!
Great on eggs, brekkie wraps, fresh seafood and Mexican food or just use it as a delicious dip with some salty corn chips!
