Changz Trinidad Yellow
This is the second of the Changz range to feature in the ChilliBOM Red Box, the first was the Green Jalapeño in one of our very first boxes back in the of Summer 2017.
The Trinidad Yellow 7 Pot chilli is a fruiter, sweeter style of chilli that packs some serious heat and has been complemented perfectly with pineapple juice to enhance its fruitiness.
The team at Changz have then used some ginger and garlic to enhance the overall chilli heat of the 7 Pot while also adding more depth of flavour. Layered on top of all of this is the tanginess of white and rice vinegar to help provide that finishing touch and overall balance to the sauce.
The heat on this sauce does not really hit you straight away but slowly warms and builds across your whole mouth the more you eat.
The sauce's fruitiness makes it very versatile from chicken to stir fry but my favourite is as a dressing on a crunchy noodle salad.
