Basketcase Gourmet Firestarter Hot Sauce
If you just go off the ingredient list you would be mistaken in thinking that this is a simply made hot sauce, but therein lies its beauty, and the inherent cleverness in its creator Kate. Basketcase Gourmet Firestarter is blend of 7 different chillies so your whole mouth is hit at once with a moreish chilli heat.
The sauce has a distinctive smell of chillies and there a little pieces of chilli swimming throughout the sauce and it is no wonder, with a blend of seven different chillies including ghost chilli and Carolina Reaper there is no escaping them. The more I tasted this sauce the more I could taste the different chilli flavours coming through from fruity to earthy. The garlic is subtle and the apple juice helps to soften the sauce.
This is one of those great all-rounder sauces that just goes on everything but if you made me choose then this is a great sauce to take a nice creamy pasta dish to the next level.
