Uncle Tyrone's Caribbean Pepper Sauce Medium
Once ChilliBOM was up and running Uncle Tyrone's approached me to try their sauces and we were hooked straight away. A true Caribbean style sauce made from Scotch Bonnet and birdseye peppers. Scotch Bonnets are another name for the Habanero Pepper used in South America and the Caribbean. The chillies used in Uncle Tyrone's are from seeds that were originally sourced from Trinidad.
The Caribbean Pepper Sauce has a very fresh aroma but with a hint of mustard. Once you taste it, there is a quick sting of heat, but as this is only a medium intensity sauce, it does not linger or burn too strong. What gives this sauce its Caribbean style is the freshness of the lime and coriander combined with the vinegar that deliver a lingering flavour and a tangy finish.
There is also a HOT version available in the range which is similar in flavour but I felt that the combination of ingredients just sat a bit better together in the MEDIUM version of the sauce.
This hot sauce is very versatile and I have used it as a marinade, salad dressing as well as I normally would a hot sauce, a definite winner.
